Cream Cheese Brownies

1 (19.8 oz) package brownie mix
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
3 T. butter, softened
1 egg
1/3 cup white sugar
1 T. four
1 t. vanilla


  1. Preheat oven to temperature indicated on box. Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. Prepare the brownie mix as directed on box. 
  3. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. 
  4. Using an electric mixer, beat together the cream cheese, butter, egg, sugar, flour, and vanilla until smooth. 
  5. Dollop the cream cheese mixture on top of the brownie batter. 
  6. Swirl together using a knife or skewer.
  7. Bake according to box instructions. 
  8. Brownies will be done when a toothpick inserted comes out clean. 
  9. Cool in the pan, then cut into bars and serve.
